Explorys Proud to Sponsor Cleveland GiveCamp
Date:7/15/2013

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) July 15, 2013

Explorys, the leader in big data-driven healthcare transformation, today announced that the company will be a gold-level sponsor of the 2013 Cleveland GiveCamp event, and several of its employees will volunteer time and services to the charitable program. GiveCamp is an entirely volunteer-driven, weekend-long event where software developers, designers, database administrators, project managers and creative professionals donate their time and expertise to create software and web-based applications for non-profit organizations. A large variety of projects—ranging from website design to the creation of smart phone applications—are completed during the weekend and are then donated to the participating non-profit organizations.

This is the third consecutive year that Explorys has participated in the Cleveland GiveCamp event. As a gold-level sponsor, Explorys’ corporate donation helped to make the event possible by supporting the 250-plus volunteers who will be offering their time and services throughout the weekend. Amongst those volunteers will be several Explorys employees contributing their IT expertise to the program.

“The time and software and web development expertise that volunteers donate during the Cleveland GiveCamp weekend will truly help the participating non-profit organizations reach their full potential,” said Stephen McHale, CEO, Explorys. “Explorys is excited to once again participate in this charitable event This is a great opportunity for our talented employees to leverage their technical skill sets for such a good cause.”

“As soon as I described Cleveland GiveCamp to our leadership team three years ago, they were eager to get involved,” said Mike Kvintus, Data Acquisitions Team Lead at Explorys. “Explorys jumped at the chance to sponsor and participate in a community event that could really utilize the company’s knowledge and resources.”

In the past three years that Cleveland GiveCamp has taken place, it is estimated that approximately $1.5 million in IT and development work has been donated to participating non-profits. This year, Cleveland GiveCamp is slated to be bigger than ever with the organization expecting to surpass the $2 million mark of donated services.

“Explorys is a great example of a fast-growing, technology startup that really strives to give back to its community,” said Matt Beyer, Cleveland GiveCamp Organizer. “The event has grown rapidly since its inception thanks to companies like Explorys who have been involved with Cleveland GiveCamp from the start. Over the past few years, Explorys has become really involved with this event not only by contributing sponsorship, but also by offering volunteers from the company that will leverage their IT expertise and experience.”

Cleveland GiveCamp 2013 will take place from July 19-21 at the LeanDog Boat and Burke Lakefront Airport on the shores of Lake Erie. If you are interested in volunteering at Cleveland GiveCamp, they are still accepting general and graphic/user experience designers.
