Explorer's Bounty Contributing Charitable Bounty to Great Chefs of Los Angeles Event

MIAMI, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Attendees at this year's 23rd annual Great Chefs of Los Angeles (GCLA) event will have two opportunities to walk away with a bounty of great-tasting organic snacks and beverages, all while contributing to a good cause. Explorer's Bounty, the manufacturer of organic earth-friendly, extraordinary products that help preserve the planet, will be donating a jam-packed trunk of its premium, organic coffees, handpicked fair-trade mate teas, 100% pure puffed fruit and tribal stone crackers to be auctioned off during the event's silent auction benefiting the National Kidney Foundation. A selection of the company's organic products will also be stashed inside gift bags that will be distributed to attendees of the event on November 8, 2009 at the CBS Studio Center in Studio City, California.

Through a variety of programs and services, the National Kidney Foundation seeks to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of organs for transplantation. One of those programs is the annual Great Chefs of Los Angeles charity event, now in its twenty-third year.

The silent auction that will take place throughout the event will be honorary chaired by legendary comedian George Lopez in the 944 Get Hip, Get Green Lounge. It is here where attendees will have the opportunity to bid on an Explorer's Bounty trunk filled to the brim with organic coffees, teas, puffed fruit snacks and yuca stone crackers. "When we heard George Lopez loves our coffee and asked for us specifically, we pulled out all stops and worked to create the biggest offering they have ever received from a partner.
