Experts Warn of the Life-Threatening Dangers of Butt Injections on New GluteBoost Sponsored Website

Hollywood, Florida (PRWEB) May 31, 2013

When the 38-year-old former Miss Argentina 1994 died in 2009 following complications from butt implant surgery, as reported by CNN*, it shined a spotlight on the dangerous world of butt enhancement surgeries. In the years that have followed, there have been more documented cases of serious complications and even deaths from butt injections and other butt enlargement surgeries, such as the Las Vegas woman who died in April 2011 following a backroom buttocks enhancement surgery, as reported by Fox News**. However, the industry continues to grow thanks to an increasing demand from women who want to have bigger buttocks like their favorite celebrities.

This week, a new website launched to educate women about the dangers of butt injections. Sponsored by GluteBoost, provides a comprehensive resource that clearly details the dangerous of butt injections and provides women with information about safer alternatives.

“Women see beautiful celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Beyonce who have big butts, and they want to look like that,” said Jonathan Weisman, founder of “Unfortunately, this sometimes drives women to pursue dangerous cosmetic surgeries, often performed illegally in hotels and other non-medical facilities, putting their lives on the line.”

As an April 2011 article on Fox News** pointed out, butt enhancement surgeries are on the rise as women aspire to gain curves like those displayed by popular celebrities. Many women have the procedures performed in shady motels and often with disastrous results. According to Fox News***, in 2004, Apryl Michelle Brown had an illegal butt injection performed that led to infections that got so bad she had to have her limbs amputated. In 2011, a 20-year-old British tourist visiting Philadelphia died after receiving silicone butt injections in a hotel room from a woman who called herself the “Black Madam,” as reported by USA Today****.

These cases and others like them have led many experts to warn consumers about the risks of butt injections. On his nationally broadcasted television show, Dr. Oz even deemed the procedure as one of the cosmetic procedures to avoid.

“Many people don’t fully understand that butt augmentation is a significant medical procedure that has major risks,” said Weisman. “While the worst cases result in death, many others result in blood clots, nerve damage, kidney failure, respiratory issues, allergic reactions, infection, buttocks asymmetry, and just plain bad results.”

Weisman pointed out that there are safer alternatives to butt injections, including diet, exercise, and natural butt enhancement supplements, like GluteBoost.

“It’s so important for women to educate themselves on the safer alternatives that are available for get a bigger butt. It’s not worth killing yourself to get the body you want,” said Weisman.
