Expansion on the West Coast: Best in Class Brings Premier Supplemental Education to Oakland

Best in Class Education Center (Best in Class), a top-of-the-line education enrichment program that focuses on math and English, is excited to announce the reopening of its Oakland location on August 31, 2013. Situated at 919 Harrison St. Suite B, Oakland, CA 94647, the owner of the Oakland center is local entrepreneur and longtime Best in Class tutor and franchisee, Kevin Lee. The reopening of the Oakland location is personally significant to Lee, as he previously tutored at the location while in college at the University of California – Berkeley.

“This opening indicates the progress and success we’ve seen on the West Coast,” said Hao Lam, Founder and CEO of Best in Class. “We’re looking forward to bringing strong curriculum and future success stories to the Oakland area. Our goal is to not only supplement and enhance the learning process, but to make sure students are given the necessary tools and resources they need to be prosperous in the future.”

Lee, a resident of Alameda County, has a long and successful history with the Best in Class brand. While attending the University of California – Berkeley, Lee was a Math and SAT tutor at the Oakland location. Upon graduating with degrees in both math and physics, Lee opened his first Best in Class franchise in San Francisco’s Chinatown in 2006 when he was only 26 years old. His Chinatown location continues to be extremely successful, serving hundreds of students annually. When Lee heard the Oakland territory was available, he jumped on the chance to own the location that initially launched his career with Best in Class.
