Evidenced-based Active Care System Empowers Patients and Increases Clinic Revenues, Announces Performance Health

The Active Care System from Performance Health is the only evidenced-based clinical management solution that supports both in-clinic and home exercises. This new program is designed to engage therapists with new tools, empower patients through improved outcomes, and increase clinic revenue through cash-based services and clinical retailing of TheraBand™, Biofreeze® and Cramer® products.

On Saturday, February 15, 2014, an Active Care program is being held at the Belmont University School of Physical Therapy in Nashville, TN. This event is hosted by Michael L. Voight, PT, DHSc, SCS, OCS, ATC, FAPTA, Professor, Belmont University, School of Physical Therapy. Andre Labbe, PT, MOMT, LMT, Director of Clinical Services and Owner, A&K Physical Therapy, Total Package Performance LLC, is the program instructor. The event features lecture, interactive labs and clinical scenarios covering elastic resistance, sensorimotor training, myofascial techniques and cold therapy. It provides six contact hours plus two hours dedicated to new cash-based revenue opportunities, including the new Active Care Clinical Retailing Program.

“Through our Clinical Retailing model, we encourage therapists to 'recommend and dispense' rather than simply 'sell' products to their patients,” said Dr. Phil Page, PT, Director of Clinical Education and Research for Performance Health. “Our Active Care system teaches participants a scientifically based progression for in-clinic and at-home exercise programs with Thera-Band products, and introduces them to the concept of clinical retailing. Since launching this workshop program, many participants have told us how effective it is, validated by improvements they’ve seen in patients’ outcomes and their increase in cash-based revenue.”
