EverydayVitamin.com Carries New Patented Satiereal® Saffron Extract Products: Proven Ingredient for Weight Loss
Date:12/14/2012

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) December 14, 2012

Manufactured by INO’Real SA and P.L. Thomas & Co, Inc. and granted patent in 2012 (Patent #CA 2648985), Satiereal® Saffron Extract is a new proprietary formula indicated for the use of satiety for healthy weight management. It is a proprietary extract formula of saffron stigmas extract (Crocus sativus L.) which enhances the activity of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that influences feelings of appetite, mood and snacking behaviors. Saffron Extract has long been known as a nutraceutical to support healthy weight and is a generally recognized as safe (GRAS) food ingredient. Satiereal® Saffron Extract is the only saffron-based proprietary ingredient that has clinical studies to validate its claims as a weight loss ingredient.

The science behind Satiereal® Saffron Extract is impressive. A four-week randomized and controlled pilot study showed that 100% of women who received the extract stated that they decreased food intake while none of the women who took the placebo substance had that effect. Participants taking the extract lost an average of 1.65 kg of body weight and 1.41 kg of body fat. An eight-week randomized, controlled clinical study (published in Nutrition Research in 2010) conducted with 60 slightly overweight women who took Satiereal® showed a decrease in snacking by 55% compared to 27% reduction by placebo. The decrease in appetite was 84% and the decrease in sugar cravings was 78%.

Satiereal® Saffron Extract can be found in a range of products, including dietary supplements, functional foods, snacks, smoothies, and gum chews. One such product is a dietary supplement called RE-BODY® Saffron Hunger Caps™, manufactured by RE-BODY®, a nutritional supplement manufacturer that specializes in weight loss nutrition with
