Everyday Vitamin Adds Nature Made’s Odor Control Garlic Dietary Supplement to Product Shelves and Online Inventory
Date:1/7/2013

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) January 07, 2013

“We’re excited about carrying this quality garlic product” said Wayne Xu, Vice President of Everyday Vitamin Nutrition LLC. “Raw garlic has been used medicinally for a long time and has been shown to be an antiviral, antifungal, antioxidant and antibacterial. There is also published research that suggests that garlic may lower lipid and cholesterol levels, and be beneficial for people at risk of heart disease. This product joins our extensive inventory of quality supplements made by Nature Made.”

Published in the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture in July 2012, the meta-analysis study looked at the results of 26 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies about garlic. The study found that garlic, when compared to control groups, was superior in reducing total cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The study also found that garlic powder and aged garlic extract was more effective at lowering total cholesterol levels, and garlic oil was better at lowering triglyceride levels. Garlic did not have any statistical effect on other lipids, including low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). However, the investigators noted that garlic therapy may benefit those at risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Regular dietary intake of garlic can help control blood sugar, control blood cholesterol, lower blood pressure and boost the immune system of the body. Garlic also has an effect on easing digestion and lowering the risk of certain cancers, such as colon cancer, stomach cancer, and esophageal cancer. Garlic can also be used to relieve respiratory problems such as allergies, cough and other irritations of the respiratory tract. This is due to allicin's (garlic’s primary sulfur ingredient) antibacterial and antiviral properties.
