Eva Longoria Parker and George Lopez Return to Host 9th Annual PADRES' Contra El Cancer's 'EL SUENO DE ESPERANZA' Gala

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- On THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2009, PADRES Contra El Cancer (PADRES), a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families, will celebrate its ninth annual fund-raising gala, "EL SUENO DE ESPERANZA" at the Hollywood Palladium. Beginning at 6:00PM, festivities will pay tribute to PADRES' extraordinary children and families, while at the same time raise funds for the lifesaving work of the organization. FARMERS INSURANCE GROUP (FARMERS) will once again join forces with PADRES for a third consecutive year as the Title Sponsor. Honorees this year include world renowned celebrity stylist KEN PAVES, L'OREAL PARIS and the CALIFORNIA CORRECTIONAL PEACE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION (CCPOA).

EVA LONGORIA PARKER, star of ABC's Desperate Housewives and PADRES' National Spokesperson, will return to serve as Gala Chair, while Comedian GEORGE LOPEZ will once again act as the evening's Master of Ceremonies. The evening will also include surprise special musical performances by a renowned multiple Latin Grammy award winning female artist as well as BETO CUEVAS singer, formerly of La Ley and past recipient of the PADRES' 2007 Ruby Oliva Cedillo Tribute Award.
