Eva's Village Celebrates a Second 4-star Rating from Charity Navigator for Fiscal Responsibility & the Opening of a Recovery Cen...(covery Center grant from the NJ Departme...),Health

covery Center grant from the NJ Department of Addiction Services, helps to support the extensive mission of Eva's Village to "feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, treat the addicted and provide free medical and dental care to the poor". However, to maintain its programs and to continue to perform to its highest standards, Eva's Village also needs the continued support of its private, corporate and foundaiton donors.

Originally a New Jersey soup kitchen known as Eva's Kitchen, Eva's Village was founded in 1982 by Msgr. Vincent E. Puma in response to the increasing incidence of homelessness in Paterson, NJ. Msgr. Puma soon realized that one more New Jersey soup kitchen was not enough. With the generous support of thousands of donors and private and government grants, Eva's Village has grown into the most respected anti-poverty program in New Jersey, with a four-star (maximum) rating by Charity Navigator, an independent non-profit monitor.
