Due to its sound fiscal management and the success of its recovery programs, Eva's Village has consistently received funding from the New Jersey Department of Addiction Services, and during the last fiscal year was the sole recipient of a grant establishing a New Jersey Recovery Center at Eva's Village. The NJ Recovery Center at Eva's Village is a recovery-oriented sanctuary anchored in the heart of Paterson, NJ, on the four-block Eva's Village community campus. "The NJ Recovery Center at Eva's Village provides a safe place for people seeking recovery, before, during and after treatment, and throughout their ongoing process", says Sister Gloria Perez. The center provides, recovery-related workshops, trainings, support groups, social and recreational events, wellness classes, telephone support and assistance with housing, employment and childcare services. The unique characteristic of the NJ Recovery Center at Eva's Village is that it is primarily peer-driven with those in recovery assisting each other.

The NJ Recovery Center at Eva's Village is holding a grand opening celebration on Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by refreshments and tours. The Eva's Village successful recovery model is based on the premise that there are many roads to recovery, and every individual has the right to choose the road that best meets their own personal preferences, needs and values.
