Estes Audiology Offers the Gift of Hearing to Celebrate the Holiday Season
Date:12/1/2009

Free hearing aids will be given by Estes Audiology to worthy recipients in Central Texas.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) December 1, 2009 -- Estes Audiology (www.hearlifeagain.com), a professional hearing healthcare provider dedicated to improving the lives of the hearing impaired and their families, announced today the beginning of its “Gift of Hearing” holiday giveaway. Each year, Estes Audiology donates two pairs of hearing aids in December to deserving individuals who suffer from hearing loss and lack financial resources to purchase hearing aids. Estes Audiology is soliciting nominations regarding qualified participants starting today, December 1st thru December 14th. On December 18th, the recipients of the ‘Gifts of Hearing’ will be notified.

“Nothing is more heart-wrenching to me as an audiologist and healthcare practitioner than being confronted with an individual who is hearing impaired but who does not have the sufficient financial resources to better their lives,” said Dr. Soriya Estes, founder and owner of Estes Audiology. “Hearing loss affects not only the person afflicted but also their family, their job, and their friends. Through our “Gift of Hearing” giveaway, this is just one small way we can help.”

To enter, participants must write a short essay – 400 words or less – describing how hearing aids would impact them and the lives of the people with whom they interact. The winners will be selected based on the following criteria: hearing need, financial need, opportunity to impact the recipient’s life, and opportunity to impact the lives of the people with whom they interact. Since its inception in 2005, Estes Audiology has given away more than 10 pairs of hearing aids to hearing impaired individuals.

Estes Audiology, a woman-owned professional hearing healthcare provider, was founded by Dr. Soriya Estes, a well-known Central Texas audiologist and adjunct professor at the University of Texas-Austin. Estes Audiology currently has offices in the communities of New Braunfels, Georgetown – Sun City, and Kyle. Putting its patients first, employing only the most talented and educated staff, using state-of-the-art measurement tools, and providing the most digitally effective hearing solutions and devices, Estes Audiology is becoming the hearing healthcare provider of choice in Central Texas.

Nominations and essays for the ‘Gift of Hearing’ holiday giveaway may be submitted directly to info@estesaudiology.com or can be mailed to Estes Audiology Hearing Center, 1528 Common Street, Suite 5, New Braunfels, Texas 78130.
