Erlanger Agency and the Family Mentor Foundation Launch Joint Charity Program to Supply Underprivileged Children with Healthy Lunches

Erlanger Agency, a locally owned insurance provider serving the greater Columbus and Worthington communities is announcing a joint charity venture with Family Mentor Foundation with the intention of ensuring that underprivileged children receive enough to eat.

The Buddy Bag program offered by the Family Mentor Foundation is a community-funded initiative that provides children who qualify for free or reduced cost school lunches with bags of healthy, nutritious food provided by members of the local community in Worthington. For the coming school year, at least 250 students will be relying on the Family Mentor Foundation effort for their lunchtime meal.

“We’re proud to support the Family Mentor Foundation on the Buddy Bag program, but there are still a lot of hungry children that need our help,” says Bob Erlanger, owner and manager of the Erlanger Agency. “The sad truth is that that are over 1,200 children that are still waiting to be a part of this program.

Erlanger and his team are actively engaging the Worthington community to raise awareness about the Buddy Bag school lunch offering supplied by the Family Mentor Foundation. Reaching out to business associates and fellow community members alike, the Erlanger team is hoping to raise enough money to expand the size of the program and feed more children. Efforts are also underway to build an online presence on several social media sites in the hopes of generating awareness and contributions from communities all across Ohio.

In addition to supporting the Family Mentor Foundation in their efforts to provide balanced meals to underprivileged school children in Worthington, the Erlanger team is assisting a number of other causes in the area, including the Worthington Resource Pantry and the local chapter of the Ronald McDonald House charity.

Those who wish to support the Erlanger Agency in their efforts to assist the Family Mentor Foundation with the Buddy Bag program for hungry school kids are invited to visit the Erlanger Agency website and make a contribution to the cause directly from this page:!_9_community_cause.
