SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Environmental Tectonics Corporation's (Amex: ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") BioMedical Division today announced the delivery and installation of two BARA-MED(R) XD monoplace hyperbaric chambers to Stevens Hospital, Edmonds, WA. The BARA-MED(R) XD chambers are the first computer-controlled hyperbaric chambers in the state of Washington, clearing the way for higher technology in the world of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).
Since 1964, Stevens Hospital has offered a full range of hospital services including cardiac and cancer care, obstetrics, emergency services, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and wound care. Stevens Hospital serves patients from the areas of unincorporated South Snohomish County, Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Bothell, as well as north Seattle.
Like all hyperbaric chambers designed and manufactured by ETC BioMedical, the units contain O.S.C.A.R.(TM), (Operating System for Control And Recordkeeping), a 4th generation, time-honored computerized operating system that includes a programmable curvilinear descent, treatment protocol and more. As an added safety feature, ETC's chambers feature a full manual override system to avoid premature termination of treatment protocol as a result of power outages.
