(PRWEB) April 23, 2013

The call for entries for the 2013 Putting Our Heads Together Migraine and Headache poetry contest is being issued by patient educator and advocate Teri Robert. Robert commented:
“Poetry is a useful tool in many ways. For people living with these disorders, it’s an amazing creative outlet for coping with living with pain, other symptoms, and the disability that often accompanies these disorders. It’s also a unique and creative way to dispel myths and help reduce the stigma associated with Migraines, Cluster Headaches, and other Headache Disorders.”

This year’s contest will be judged by members of the American Headache and Migraine Association, a new patient-focused, patient-driven nonprofit organization for people who have or are interested in Migraine and other Headache Disorders.

The contest guidelines and rules include:

  • Subject must be headache or Migraine related, but may be metaphoric or abstract.
