England's Dial-A-Drink Service Likely to Fuel Increased Alcoholism
Date:8/2/2013

Miami, FL (PRWEB) August 02, 2013

As reported by Daily Mail (UK) on 7/8 in their news article titled, Fury as 24-hour 'dial-a-drink' service which delivers alcohol at any time is granted trading permission... and even the company admits 'surprise', that a new service in England will be delivering alcoholic drinks 24 hours a day. Called Booze Bury, the company is set to begin business after it was granted permission by Bury Council. The company thought it had little chance, if any, to land the license but it did, shocking everyone including themselves. The council, who approved the license, reasoned that it approved the license because supermarkets also sell liquor 24 hours a day.

Those who feel they are experiencing a problem with alcohol abuse should seek qualified medical help by contacting a certified detox center such as Harbor Village. At Harbor Village, a premier drug and alcohol and detox facility located in beautiful Miami, Florida, clients can check in anonymously and receive private alcohol rehab tailored specifically to their needs. Each client enjoys a very comfortable stay in a state-of-the-art environment. Accommodations include an attractively furnished suite, 30,000 square foot outdoor lounge area, spa, salon, massage and acupuncture services, Netflix and Internet access, healthy, gourmet dining and personalized care from the attentive staff.

According to the news story, Fury as 24-hour 'dial-a-drink' service which delivers alcohol at any time is granted trading permission... and even the company admits 'surprise', a top health official in the UK, Dr Peter Elton, the director of public health at NHS Bury, said, "It is very dangerous for people to be able to buy alcohol and have it delivered to the door 24 hours per day. There is no doubt that increasing access in this way will increase problem drinking and lead to more hospital admissions and eventually to more people dying from alcohol-related disease. Public health is not against the enjoyment of alcohol in moderation, but making it easier for people to drink to excess both damages themselves and increases the risk of violence to others."

Booze Bury had applied for a trading license twice before but were rejected both times due to public health reasons and because the police were concerned about anti-social behavior, domestic violence and the safety of delivery drivers.

"Without proper care and treatment from a certified detox facility, alcohol abuse can evolve into a serious dependency. Receive the care you need and get on the path to recovery," said Robert Niznik, Harbor Village CEO.
