Energizer® BK Waterproof Coating from Garland Canada Reduces Life-Cycle Costs
Date:7/22/2014

Canada (PRWEB) July 22, 2014

Garland’s new Energizer BK specially formulated cold-applied waterproofing coating is designed to be used as a flood coat over new and existing asphalt and coal tar roof systems or as a premium restoration material. It provides natural resistance to moisture, chemicals, UV and aging, improving the long-term performance and reducing life-cycle costs. Energizer BK is specially formulated with an asphalt coal tar blend to provide excellent water resistance in addition to superior strength and flexibility.

The cold-applied nature of Energizer BK eliminates many of the harmful emissions of a conventional hot-applied coal tar system while providing the same performance benefits. Energizer BK is also fiber reinforced to provide superior sag resistance, increased tensile strength, excellent crack resistance and improved weathering resistance.

According to Charbel Boulos, P.Eng., president of Garland Canada Inc., “Energizer BK is a versatile waterproof coating that adheres well to a variety of roofing systems. It offers long-term performance and low maintenance costs, significantly reducing life-cycle costs associated with standard roofing systems.”
