Emergo Group Acquires UK-based Mediqol Ltd.; Greatly Expands Medical Device Consulting Presence in Europe

Medical device regulatory consulting firm Emergo Group Inc. has acquired Mediqol Ltd. based in Sheffield, England. The acquisition greatly expands the Emergo Group presence in Europe, enhancing the consultancy's ability to serve medical device clients in the United Kingdom and rest of Europe.

(PRWEB) February 4, 2010 -- Emergo Group Inc., a global medical device consulting firm, has acquired Mediqol Ltd. based in Sheffield, England. Mediqol is UK’s largest privately owned medical device regulatory compliance consultancy. Both firms assist medical device manufacturers to obtain regulatory clearance to sell their products worldwide.

Over the past year, Emergo Group has expanded its European presence by opening an office in France in addition to its existing office in The Netherlands. With the Mediqol acquisition, Emergo Group now maintains three offices in Europe.

Emergo Group’s CEO, Rene van de Zande, notes: “The Mediqol consulting team is well respected in the UK with strong expertise in regulatory compliance for high risk medical devices.
