Eleven Florida Nonprofit Organizations to Receive Grants Totaling Nearly $1 Million From The Blue Foundation

-- part-time ARNP, medical

supplies, training materials and prescriptions for mental health

program in Tallahassee.

-- Children's Volunteer Health Network -- $95,651 -- mobile dental unit

and outreach in Walton County.

-- DLC Nurse and Learn, Inc. -- $99,000 -- therapy to children with severe

disabilities and medically complex conditions in Jacksonville.

The Blue Foundation for a Healthy Florida awards grants during two grant cycles per year. With the completion of the 2007 winter grant cycle, The Blue Foundation will have awarded 144 grants totaling more than $8.3 million since its founding in 2001.

The Blue Foundation for a Healthy Florida is a separate, philanthropic affiliate of BCBSF incorporated in the state of Florida. The Blue Foundation for a Healthy Florida, and its parent, BCBSF, are independent licensees of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, an association of independent Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies.
