El Camino Hospital Provides Local Perspective on Health Care Reform and Innovation at Silicon Valley Healthcare CEO Summit
Date:9/16/2009

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognized for his leadership in the California hospital industry, El Camino Hospital CEO, Ken Graham, will provide insight on health care reform at the Silicon Valley Business Journal's Healthcare CEO Summit on Sept. 17 at 7:15 a.m. at the Rotary Summit Center.

With 37 years of hospital leadership, Graham has much to contribute to the health care reform debate. El Camino Hospital, a non-profit community hospital that is ranked among the top five percent of hospitals nationwide, has become a model for health care, successfully embracing innovation to deliver the highest quality of care while effectively managing expenses.

"El Camino Hospital is committed to the effective, practical use of technology to improve patient care and reduce costs," said Graham. "We continue to raise the bar in hospital care, devoting time and resources to further innovative thinking and technology."

Prior to joining El Camino Hospital, Graham was the President and CEO of Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, Washington, where he oversaw the development of new facilities, contracted with more than 25 managed care companies, and implemented four major new programs, helping to significantly improve hospital efficiency. Ken is also committed to community and industry leadership, serving on more than a dozen local, regional and national hospital and health care organization boards.

Registration for the Healthcare CEO Summit will begin at 7:15 a.m. with the panel discussion beginning at 8 a.m. The summit will also feature James Dover, O'Connor Hospital, Bill Piche, Good Samaritan Hospital and Kim Roberts, Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System.
