Leading Veterinary Care Digital Imaging and Data Management Providers Expands Area Market Role

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Eklin Medical Systems, a leading provider of digital radiography (DR), ultrasound, PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications Systems) and practice management software (VIA(R)) for veterinary care, announced it has recently appointed Juan Thorn as the company's West Coast ultrasound representative. Thorn brings strong animal health science experience to the Eklin team as the company expands its footprint in the area's large ultrasound market.

"With so many veterinary care practices located on the West Coast, we felt it was imperative to have local ultrasound sales and support representation in this important market," said Rob Royea, vice president of worldwide sales for Eklin. "Juan is a longtime medical care professional with a commitment to excellent customer service. We believe our West Coast area customers will be well served by his close and immediate attention to their needs."

Thorn previously held senior sales positions with Intervet/Schering-Plough's Animal Health Division where he was the number one sales representative in the country. He also has held similar positions with service industry firms, where he was known for excellence in customer service. Thorn holds a bachelors degree in business administration from Texas Lutheran University.

"I am excited to be a part of the Eklin family and a team member of our growing ultrasound base on the West Coast," said Thorn. "Eklin's proven leadership in providing a complete digital practice solution for thousands of veterinary care practices makes it an ideal match for me. The high quality nature of these solutions resonates with my own personal philosophy of providing what is best for our customers."
