Edmond Scientific Company Awarded VA Contract for External Integration Architecture Support

FAIRFAX, Va., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Edmond Scientific Company (ESC) has been awarded a contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) to provide architecture and engineering services to support the external integration of VA information systems with other healthcare entities.

ESC engineers will support the integration of the VA's large-scale information systems with the Department of Defense (DoD) Military Health Systems. The work will also provide for development and migration to standards-based integration with multiple government and private sector health entities through the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN).

"ESC was selected by the VA to implement this project based on our expertise in integration and enterprise engineering," says Tom Bonina, Vice President of Enterprise Solutions. "In particular, ESC has exclusive expertise regarding continuing VA/DoD sharing and VA's participation in the NHIN."
