Edifecs Deepens Healthcare Expertise and Strengthens Leadership Team
Date:4/1/2013

Bellevue, Washington (PRWEB) April 01, 2013

As part of its strategic plan for rapid growth, nimble product development and market leadership, Edifecs, a leading healthcare solutions provider specializing in healthcare information management and compliance technology, today announced the addition of three senior executives. Joining the company are: Sam Muppalla, senior vice president of Products and Strategy; Vik Anantha, vice president of Financial Management Solutions; and Prabhu Ram, associate vice president of Clinical Solutions. All three executives bring significant healthcare, product strategy and engineering expertise from various industry disciplines to a leadership team already well-versed in the technical, operational and business process challenges faced by healthcare organizations nationwide.

  • Sam Muppalla joins Edifecs from McKesson Health Solutions, where he previously served as vice president of Portfolio Integration and led development of the company’s cross product portfolio strategy. He was previously the CSMO and COO of Portico Systems, which was successfully acquired by McKesson Health Systems. In those roles, Sam helped Portico Systems grow to be the undisputed market leader in Integrated Provider Management.
  • Vik Anantha brings several years of healthcare software experience to Edifecs, most recently as senior director of Product Management at McKesson Health Solutions, where he was responsible for the reimbursement products that were a key part of McKesson’s value-based reimbursement strategy. Vik came to McKesson as part of its acquisition of Portico Systems, where he served as the vice president of Contracting and Reimbursement Products serving the healthcare payer market. Prior to Portico, he was the vice president of Health Plan Products at Kryptiq.
  • Prabhu Ram joins Edifecs with more than two decades of computing experience. He spent the past 10 years at GE Healthcare as the general manager of Engineering for its inpatient electronic health record (EHR) product, where he led development of new features and enhancements, integrated GE’s EHR system with third-party applications, and ensured the solution’s compliance with regulatory standards, including Meaningful Use Stages 1 and 2 and ICD-10.

“Edifecs is on a high-growth trajectory and intends to expand its solutions for healthcare compliance and collaboration. To continue meeting the demands of our current clients while exponentially growing our business, we need deep expertise across multiple healthcare disciplines,” said Sunny Singh, CEO of Edifecs. “With the added experience and knowledge from these new leadership team members, Edifecs is well positioned to provide transformational technology to our customers in all areas of healthcare.”
