Edifecs(TM) and Axway Announce a Partnership Targeting Innovative HIPAA 5010 Migration Solutions.

Edifecs unveiled a new partnership with Axway to provide innovative solutions specially designed by healthcare migration professionals and technologists to address the challenges of implementing HIPAA 5010 transactions in a timely and cost-effective manner.

BELLEVUE, Wash., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Edifecs, the foremost leader in healthcare electronic transactions simplification and systems interoperability, and Axway, a global provider of multi-enterprise solutions and infrastructure, announced the creation of a joint partnership to provide integrated migration solutions for healthcare organizations meeting the new federal HIPAA rules. An updated X12 Version 5010 transaction standard has been mandated for implementation by January 1, 2012 requiring significant data migration to support future nationwide electronic healthcare interchange initiatives throughout the United States.

Many healthcare organizations will experience on-going solution, skill, and service gaps in their future deployment efforts. The challenges and expense of a version 5010 migration has many healthcare CIOs exploring innovative options to meet their implementation needs. With this in mind, Edifecs5010(TM) Migration was developed as an end-to-end solution specifically for the healthcare industry.
