BOCA RATON, Fla., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Eclipsys Corporation(R) (Nasdaq: ECLP), The Outcomes Company(R), today announced that the 2007 Eclipsys User Network (EUN), taking place October 7-10 in Orlando, FL will focus on how the company's clients - already at the forefront of cutting-edge health information technology (HIT) - successfully partner with Eclipsys to achieve superior outcomes and consistently deliver cost-effective, high- quality healthcare.

The four-day Outcomes Conference is one of the most comprehensive client conferences in the industry, with extended solution demonstrations, peer-led education sessions and design and development workshops. It is an invaluable opportunity for the Eclipsys team, its clients and strategic partners to share ideas, strategies and solutions for improving healthcare processes, with a special focus on achieving measurable outcome improvements.

"We have seen a record number of successful client activations for our clinical and financial solutions - with more than 200 total activations this year. Our time-tested Outcomes Methodology helps those clients realize value quickly from their investments by delivering client-specific strategies to accelerate end-user adoption and continuously improve clinical, financial and operational outcomes," said R. Andrew Eckert, president and chief executive officer, Eclipsys. "We also now have more than 60 clients live on Sunrise Clinical Manager 4.5, with more than 80 percent of those upgrades on-time and on-budget."

EUN 2007 will include networking events and special general sessions, featuring executives and other leaders from Eclipsys client organizations, who will share how they successfully employ Eclipsys solutions to drive outcome improvements. They will be joined by Eclipsys executives, who will deliver corporate and solution updates, including a "sneak preview" of the company's latest advanced clinical and financial information solutions.

"We believe the driving force behind our clients' continued investment in our solutions is our unwavering commitment to help them achieve their outcomes improvement goals," added Eckert. "EUN allows us to focus on client satisfaction by offering an informative and supportive atmosphere, engaging them as speakers - both at the peer level and through demonstrations - and engaging with them in on-going discussions of how they can use our solutions most effectively. This event also provides valuable insights into how Eclipsys can develop solutions to best meet our clients' needs."

Peer-to-Peer Learning is the Heart of EUN

With over 460 hours of combined training and education opportunities at EUN 2007, the primary focus is peer-to-peer learning. This year's conference includes over 100 educational sessions led by renowned healthcare experts that allow clients to share their experiences, knowledge and innovations on a range of topics. This year's topics include improving communications and patient handoffs, using an integrated medication management approach to enhance patient safety, and executing a successful activation.

"At Eclipsys, we work closely with our clients to ensure they are meeting their goals of care quality and safety, financial and operational efficiency, and customer and staff satisfaction using our proven Outcomes Methodology," said Jay Deady, Eclipsys executive vice president of Client Solutions. "Year after year, our clients return to this event to collaborate with each other and Eclipsys. It is an important component of our commitment to our clients and ensuring the ongoing value of our solutions through the sharing of proven methodologies."

Celebrating Clients' Outcomes Achievement

The EUN concludes with the annual awards banquet, during which Eclipsys clients are recognized for their exemplary achievements using Eclipsys solutions to improve outcomes. New this year is the "Circle of Excellence" awards program, which recognizes the extraordinary efforts of clients resulting in superior clinical, financial and operational outcomes. For the first time in 2007, clients had the opportunity to self-nominate their organizations for recognition during the awards banquet. These special achievement awards set a high standard for outcome improvements and help other attendees recognize the potential for excellence in their own organizations.
