(PRWEB) April 19, 2010 -- On Thursday April 22, 2010, Ecco Bella will join the worldwide community in celebrating the 40th Earth Day. The first Earth Day was held in 1970 and is widely seen as the beginning of the modern environmental movement. Since its inception, Earth Day has been used to support numerous environmental causes such as deterioration of the environments, oil spills, pollution in factories, toxic dumping, pesticide use and extinction of wildlife. Recently, worldwide recycling efforts have been a major focus during Earth Day.

To commemorate Earth Day 2010, the Earth Day Network will be organizing the Climate Rally on April 25 on the National Mall in Washington, DC. The goal of the rally is to bring together environmental activists from across the country to send Congress the message that it is time to pass comprehensive climate reform.

This year, a main focus of Earth Day and the Earth Day Network is conservation and biodiversity. With so many plants and animals in danger of extinction, a focus on protecting our natural resources is more important today than ever before. Visit the Earth Day 2010 Action Center to find out how to take steps to protect the environment.

Every day is Earth day at Ecco Bella where organic ingredients and packaging reduction are core pursuits. Ecco Bella is proud to support this cause and celebrate our planet on Earth Day 2010. Ecco Bella was founded with the idea that luxurious natural beauty can be organic, cruelty-free and deliver amazing results. Our product line features organic and natural skin care, natural body care, natural hair care and organic cosmetic products. We whole-heartedly believe that beauty should be natural and that each one of us is responsible for protecting the environment. This is why our natural beauty products are never tested on animals and feature high quality natural and organic ingredients. At Ecco Bella beauty is truly the way Mother Nature intended it to be.

Sally Malanga founded Ecco Bella in 1992 to protect women from harmful chemicals and to protect animals from dangerous testing. Although the company has outgrown Sally’s home, our primary mission remains the same: To provide luxurious and healthful products that are never tested on animals. The company offers a free personal consultation to all customers.

Sally Malanga serves on the Board of Friends of Animals and is leading the battle to save an Old Growth Forest near her home in New Jersey. The company continues to grow, allowing us to support a wide variety of good causes such as Earth Day 2010.
