EPSRC Pioneers '09 Science Event, Olympia, March 4, 2009
Date:1/14/2009

Businesses will get the chance to access exciting cutting-edge research ideas at a major event being organised by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) on March 4th 2009.

EPSRC Pioneers 09 (Olympia in London) is also open to academics, researchers and policy-makers and will showcase some of the UK's latest innovative research through a range of interactive stands.

Free to attend, the event will provide businesses and researchers with networking opportunities and information on EPSRC funding.

The day will be chaired by BBC science journalist Quentin Cooper and include talks from internet entrepreneur Tom Ilube and the Director of the world land-speed record team, Richard Noble.

There will also be a Dragon's Den style workshop where researchers will pitch their ideas for emerging technologies to a panel of venture capitalists to secure research funding. For more information and to register your place visit http://pioneers.epsrc.ac.uk
