Date:9/28/2013

Dubai, UAE (PRWEB) September 28, 2013

This month, The Atlanta Vision Clinic, a Dubai LASIK surgery practice, has experienced an increase in international clients because of Dubai’s booming medical tourism industry. According to the CEO of Dubai’s Health Policy and Strategy Sector, this is an industry that is growing rapidly in the country, and LASIK surgery is one of the medical services that is creating a draw for people worldwide who are in need of top-quality medical services. In recent weeks, the Atlanta Vision Clinic has treated patients from Europe and China, according to the founder of the LASIK practice, Dr. Farooq Ashraf.

“We have definitely seen the effects of Dubai’s medical tourism industry at our practice,” says Dr. Ashraf. “People come to Dubai from all over to get LASIK surgery. We regularly see patients who have traveled from Europe, and just last week we had two people who came all the way from Hong Kong.”

The success of Dubai’s medical tourism industry is no accident. It is a strongly-backed initiative of the Dubai leadership, and has been successful for many reasons. Dubai is conveniently located to be able to offer quality medical services to a large portion of Europe and Asia. These medical services include a range of procedures, like critical surgeries such as hip replacements, LASIK surgery, cosmetic procedures, dermatology and spa treatments. More information about Dubai’s medical tourism can be found at http://www.dha.gov.ae.

Dr. Ashraf is an ophthalmologist, experienced LASIK surgeon and founder of the Atlanta Vision Clinic in Dubai. He has personally performed over 40,000 LASIK surgeries and specializes in corneal and refractive surgery, as well as other treatments for astigmatism, glaucoma,
