Dr. Steve Liu, CEO of Ingenious Med, Joins Benchmarks Committee at SHM

ATLANTA, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Steven Liu, CEO and Founder of Ingenious Med and a practicing leader in the hospitalist industry, was recently appointed to serve on the Benchmarks Committee for the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM). Dr. Liu and the rest of the Benchmarks Committee will make recommendations to the SHM Board of Directors on potential issues for study and review. This will include shaping processes for developing benchmarks for hospitalists nationwide in the areas of hospitalist productivity and compensation.

SHM is committed to promoting excellence in the practice of hospital medicine through education, advocacy, and research. According to Joseph A. Miller, Senior Vice President of SHM, Dr. Liu is a great fit as his "experience and practical knowledge about data issues for hospitalists should add to the quality of discussions and initiatives pursued by SHM's Benchmarks Committee."

As a practicing hospitalist (and currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine for the Internal Medicine section at the Emory School of Medicine), Dr. Liu is very well-informed in the hospitalist industry. He previously served as Director of Medical Informatics for the Emory Hospital Medicine Program and as Medical Director for other programs at the hospital.

As CEO of Ingenious Med, where he is responsible for the short- and long-term strategy and management of the company, Dr. Liu continues to drive the company in the hospitalist market. Ingenious Med continues to expand in its market being the only provider in the nation exclusively devoted to inpatient practice management solutions.
