Dr. Paul M. Parker Is Pioneering New Advanced Lipoabdominoplasty Instead of Traditional Tummy Tuck in New Jersey

The original lipoabdominoplasty procedure, described by the Brazilian surgeons, was an improvement over the traditional tummy tuck in creating a flatter, shapelier tummy and decreased the recovery time. Dr. Parker modified the technique to make the lipoabdominoplasty procedure even better. So now, people seeking a tummy tuck in New Jersey have the most advanced and effective procedure available.

Dr. Parker's modifications of the Brazilian lipoabdominoplasty procedure are as follows. Now, instead of traditional liposuction, Dr. Parker uses ultrasonic liposuction to liquefy the fat which facilitates and increases the removal of fat in the upper abdominal area. He does this using VASER (Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance) system of ultrasonic liposuction.

Another improvement is the use of Quill sutures. These are barbed sutures that adjust the tension as each new stitch is added. Dr. Parker uses the Quill sutures to also bring the separated abdominal muscles together and tighten them.

Dr. Parker says, "Women can get separation of the abdominal muscles(known medically as diastasis recti) after pregnancy. The separation of the muscles contributes to the belly 'pooch' so often complained about. To tighten the muscles, we use the Quill sutures which gives a more effective tightening of these abdominal muscles."
