Dr. Mahaveer Mehta, the famous Dermatologist settled in Dubai, received the very prestigious 'HIND RATTAN AWARD' this week in New Delhi on Indian Republic Day, January 26, 2010. Hind Rattan was presented at a ceremony in connection with the yearly International Congress of Non Resident Indians by Honorable Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India. Dr. Mehta was awarded for his outstanding services, achievements and contributions, raising the India flag high out side of India.

(PRWEB) January 29, 2010 -- Dr. Mahaveer Mehta, the famous Dermatologist settled in Dubai, received the very prestigious 'HIND RATTAN AWARD' this week in New Delhi on Indian Republic Day, January 26, 2010. Hind Rattan was presented at a ceremony in connection with the yearly International Congress of Non Resident Indians by Honorable Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India. Dr. Mehta was awarded for his outstanding services, achievements and contributions, raising the India flag high out side of India.
The ceremony was also attended by many members of Parliament, Central Ministers of Government of India and other dignitories namely Mrs Preneet Kaur, Minister of State, External Affairs, Government of India and Mr. Oscar Fernandes, MP and former minister, Government of India.

The Hind Rattan (Jewel of India) is awarded yearly to 30 members of the worldwide Indian diaspora. The 29th International Congress of NRIs, held from January 24th, 2010 to January 29th, 2010, promises to provide a platform for interaction between the Indian business houses, government agencies and the NRIs.
