Dr. Mahaveer Mehta, the famous Dermatologist settled in Dubai, received the very prestigious 'HIND RATTAN AWARD' this week in New Delhi on Indian Republic Day, January 26, 2010. Hind Rattan was presented at a ceremony in connection with the yearly International Congress of Non Resident Indians by Honorable Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India. Dr. Mehta was awarded for his outstanding services, achievements and contributions, raising the India flag high out side of India.

(PRWEB) January 29, 2010 -- Dr. Mahaveer Mehta, the famous Dermatologist settled in Dubai, received the very prestigious 'HIND RATTAN AWARD' this week in New Delhi on Indian Republic Day, January 26, 2010. Hind Rattan was presented at a ceremony in connection with the yearly International Congress of Non Resident Indians by Honorable Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India. Dr. Mehta was awarded for his outstanding services, achievements and contributions, raising the India flag high out side of India.
The ceremony was also attended by many members of Parliament, Central Ministers of Government of India and other dignitories namely Mrs Preneet Kaur, Minister of State, External Affairs, Government of India and Mr. Oscar Fernandes, MP and former minister, Government of India.

The Hind Rattan (Jewel of India) is awarded yearly to 30 members of the worldwide Indian diaspora. The 29th International Congress of NRIs, held from January 24th, 2010 to January 29th, 2010, promises to provide a platform for interaction between the Indian business houses, government agencies and the NRIs. With hundreds of NRIs participating from various parts of the world, the event proved beneficial to businessmen looking to interact with NRIs, PIOs for joint venture or partnership, along with advertising and marketing their own ventures at the conference. The programme hoped to offer the NRIs a chance to look into investment opportunities in their home country.The six-day programme will be held in at three venues, including the Hotel Lalit in Delhi, Hotel Country Inn in Jaipur and JHP International in Agra.

"Events of such nature adds value to the development and growth of our country. NRIs need a platform to be appreciated. Most NRIs wish to get involved in the growth and development of our country to contribute to our society in whatever capacity they can," said Dr. Mahaveer during the honoring ceremony at the 29th International Congress of Non Resident Indians in New Delhi. He was awarded for his outstanding achievement and contribution in the field of medicine and healthcare. Dr.Mehta, by special invitation observed India’s Republic Day parade (which showcases India’s military, economic and cultural life) along with other award recipients at Rajpath from VIP Enclosure.

Dr. Mahaveer Mehta has been successfully practising Dermatology and is Chairman in his own medical Center in Dubai for 20 years. Prior to this he was Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Qatar Armed Forces Medical Unit and Chairman of Dermatology at International Hospital Bahrain. Dr. Mehta is internationally well known in the field of Dermatology and Lasers. He is a pioneer in introducing Lasers to the Middle East. His clean reputation is not limited to just UAE but spread across seven seas. He is one of the strongest promoters of Health Tourism in Dubai.

Dr. Mehta is a faculty member and Speaker at several international dermatological and laser conferences. He is a member of Several Dermatology and Laser societies in the world. He is a recipient of prestigious awards such as Physician Recognition Award from American Medical Association and Continuing Medical Education Award from American Academy of Dermatology, NRI of the year Award 2005 and Former Member of the editorial board of Gulf medical college health journal.

Dr. Mehta has saved thosands of lives. He is proud of his profession where he can help human suffering. Not only this Dr.Mehta has participated in number of charitable camps providing free treatments to thousands under priviledged patients. He has delivered several health awareness lectures in several communities.Dr.Mehta has successfully treated patients over 140 nationalities.

Dr. Mehta's aim is to reduce the incidence of Skin diseases such as Skin Cancer and its harmful consequences on individuals . He has organised several free medical camps to provide health awareness.
