Dr. Kim-Chi Vu in Portland Selects Artefill to Meet Growing Patient Demand for a Longer Lasting Dermal Filler
Date:7/24/2009

PORTLAND, Ore., July 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Kim-Chi Vu, M.D., P.C. has selected Artefill, the first and only FDA-approved microsphere-enhanced collagen filler for the correction of smile lines. Dr. Vu has been an avid Artefill user the past several years due to its proven success and effectiveness for the long lasting correction of wrinkles.

Dr. Vu commented, "Artefill is a great product for many reasons. First and foremost it has wonderful results that keep our patients satisfied. It has also shown to last longer in comparison to other injectable fillers which is a lot more cost efficient."

This simple, in-office procedure takes approximately fifteen minutes to complete. A patient is injected with Artefill similar to other dermal fillers with the key difference being its lasting effect. The unique microspheres in Artefill are not absorbed by the body and therefore provide the support the skin needs for long lasting natural feeling results. This is different from temporary dermal fillers that are made of different kinds of natural or synthetic materials that are completely absorbed by the body over time and require repeat injections to maintain wrinkle correction. A skin test is required prior to treatment or approximately four (4) weeks ahead of time, to ensure a patient is not allergic to the collagen or anesthetic in Artefill.

Artefill is only offered by a select group of physicians in Oregon and is not available at all physician offices. Dr. Vu is one of the company trained and select few company sponsored physicians who has the skills and experience needed to administer the product.

Mrs. A. Vark, a patient of Dr. Vu's said, "Over the past two years I have been injected with Juvederm, Restylane and other fillers but the results were very temporary. I decided to use Artefill as it was proven to have a long lasting effect and I can honestly say that the results actually improve over time. It's amazing and I have already recommended it to my friends."
