d clinical experience with the University of Iowa and the San Francisco General Hospital, and has been a national leader in changing the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine to meet the challenges of managed care.

"Health care must rapidly become more patient-centered and value-driven, and ICSI is committed to help lead that transformation in Minnesota," said John Sakowski, ICSI chief operating officer. "We believe Dr. Bottles' view of the future of health care is perfectly aligned with ICSI's, and he will lead our collaborative efforts with medical groups, hospitals, health plans and employers to make that vision reality."

"I am very excited about joining ICSI, which I have admired from afar for many years," said Bottles. "I hope I can continue to provide the kind of leadership that has made ICSI the leading health care collaborative in the region. This is the best time to be involved in health care, and I am confident that ICSI can provide leadership in improving both the quality and value of care delivered to patients."
