Dr. Toshikazu Kamiya, President and CEO at Kyowa Hakko USA, and Dr. Danielle Citrolo, Pharm.D and Registered Pharmacist at Kyowa Hakko USA will discuss the health benefits of Kyowa’s ultra-pure L-Citrulline at SupplySide West, Friday, November 15th, from 11 – 11:50 a.m. in the Sands Convention Center, VendorBrief Booth 14074 sponsored by Kyowa Hakko USA.

L-Citrulline is an amino acid that plays an important role in nitric oxide metabolism and regulation. L-Citrulline is converted to L-arginine in the body, leading to increased production of nitric oxide (NO) and effects such as vasodilation. It is expected to relieve muscle fatigue through promotion of energy production and ammonia elimination. Antioxidant action and heart protection action are also known.

Dr. Toshikazu Kamiya is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kyowa Hakko USA. Prior to joining Kyowa Hakko USA he was the director of Kyowa Hakko Bio, Healthcare Products Development Center in Tsukuba, Japan. He received his Ph.D. in agricultural chemistry from the University of Tokyo and has worked on pharmaceutical and nutraceutical research for over 25 years at Kyowa Hakko Bio Co., Ltd. His continuous interest in research has expanded to collaboration with prestigious research facilities including Harvard University, Penn State Medical Center and Emory University.

Dr. Danielle Citrolo, Pharm.D. and Registered Pharmacist, is the Manager of Technical Services for Kyowa Hakko U.S.A. with responsibilities that include providing technical and scientific support to customers, maintaining Kyowa’s technical knowledge database, supporting regulatory affairs, and acting as liaison with regulatory authorities in the US, Canada and Latin America. Dr. Citrolo earned her BS in biochemistry and BA in chemistry from North Carolina State University, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy in New
