Our operating room has always been open to visiting surgeons who wanted to observe our techniques.” This open-door policy is important because Dr. Gunter’s expertise is one of the most revered in the plastic surgery community. He has spent decades as not only a surgeon, but also a pioneer – inventing new techniques for correcting nasal deformities and writing textbooks used to train future rhinoplasty surgeons. His work has been published in some of the most prestigious medical journals available.

Dr. Gunter chose Dr. C. Spencer Cochran, another of the most highly-respected rhinoplasty surgeons in the area, to join the Gunter Center. Dr. Cochran was hand-picked by Dr. Gunter for his well-known skills in the field of nose surgery, and his singular career-focus on rhinoplasty. He is board-certified in Otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat surgery) and a member of both the Rhinoplasty Society and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. During his training, Dr. Cochran studied the art of rhinoplasty directly under Dr. Gunter and served as a Chief Resident of the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. “Rhinoplasty is one of the most difficult procedures in plastic surgery, and in order to get consistent results, you really have to dedicate yourself to that alone. Being able to improve patients’ breathing, and at the same time improving their appearance, is very important. It’s very satisfying being able to really help patients with these procedures. This is the one thing I do, and it will be done right.”

And although Dr. Gunter is primarily known for his contributions to the field of primary and secondary rhinoplasty, he has also expanded his practice to include a more comprehensive list of procedures designed to recontour the body, rejuvenate the face, and he
