Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin Chiropractor, Dr. J G Moellendorf, DC, ND, LCP joined with nearly two hundred healthcare professionals in Milwaukee interested in natural solutions to hormonal problems. Their purpose is to use cutting-edge research in order to improve patient outcomes, while reducing reliance on drugs and surgery and their side-effects. Sessions were led by Dr. Ronda Nelson, PhD, MH and Dr. Annette Schippel, DC.

The medical profession views hormonal problems as a puzzling phenomenon. For example, pre-menstrual symptom (PMS) affects up to 40% of women according to the American College of Obstetricians. Other authorities claim as many as 80% of women are affected. An accumulation of over 180 symptoms are included with PMS, including acne, bloating, constipation and diarrhea, cramping, digestive upsets, headaches, irritability, mood swings, swelling, along with cravings for sugar, chocolate, and salty foods. Treating these symptoms with various medications and their side-effects proves frustrating for both the patient and the doctor.

Endocrinologists acknowledge that hormonal problems all start in the brain with the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland. The hypothalamus connects the nervous system with the endocrine system through the pituitary.
