Dr. Gerald Pollack, Ph.D. and Bio Logic Aqua® Research Water Life Science® founder and director of research Sharon Kleyne are aware of the fact that the eye is an especially vulnerable entry point for virus and disease, and both agree that pure water is a preventative immunity response. That is why both support the use of Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® to supplement the eye’s tear film with pure water to replace body water lost to the natural process of evaporation.

Dr. Pollack’s “general passion is for uncovering scientific truth—how the world works.” At the beginning of his career, Pollack studied muscle contraction where he discovered that “there was more to water than what most people thought.” Building on the work of the late Gilbert Ling and others, Pollack and his colleagues discovered an Exclusion Zone in cells, an EZ where water free of particles carries a negative charge (most water carries a neutral charge). Just outside the EZ is water carrying a positive charge. “Our bodies are like a battery,” teaches Pollack, who explains that this heavier, structured water in our cells is actually the water that runs our bodies. A much-treasured quote that Pollack often shares is by the late, Nobel Laureate who first isolated Vitamin C, Albert Szent-Gyorgi, who once said, “Life is water dancing to the tune of solids”. Pollack also praises the wisdom of the ancients and time-honored practices such as Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. “In the West, we try to fit information into a pre-existing model rather than observing and figuring out what is happening,”

This is why Kleyne founded the Global Health Olympics™ lifestyle. “It’s common sense,” says Klyene. “We need to learn better health education for immunity protection. Together, we need to learn about immunity protection from bacteria and viruses. We need to protect our precious eyesight.”

Kleyne cites optometrist Dr. Mark Rahner’s comments: “A good healthy and functioning lacrimal gland and lacrimal ducts are important to the integrity of the tear film. The tear film contains the immuglobulins IgA and IgG antibodies to give the immune protection to the cornea.” Kleyne also recommends her short animated film describing the immune system of the eye and how to apply Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® as a patented micron-size mist from a personal, portable handheld humidifier.

“Discovery is like a hike,” Kleyne says. “One keeps going and one keeps learning.” Kleyne observes a behavioral change coming, a change in which researchers, others in medicine, and insurance companies focus more on finding cures rather than treating symptoms.

“Always remember,” Kleyne concludes, “to hold a child’s heart in your hands.”
