Dr. Drews Elected VP of Maine Dental Association

Drews Dental Services is proud to announce the recent election of Peter J. Drews, D.D.S., to vice president of the Maine Dental Association (MDA). After serving on the Executive Board of the MDA for three years, Dr. Drews has now been sworn in to his new position.

Dr. Drews is looking forward to serving his term as vice president and being a part of the ADA House of Delegates in October, as well as the First District Caucus in 2015. He plans to advocate for the profession of dentistry to ensure that patients have access to the highest standard of dentistry that they need and deserve.

The MDA Executive Board is comprised of eight members, including the president, president-elect, vice president, immediate past president, secretary, treasurer, long-term delegate and executive director. The board also includes one active or life association member from each component society and two at-large members. The active or life association member is elected annually by the component and the at-large members are appointed for a one-year term by the Executive Board and the president of the American Student Dental Association of the Dental School in Maine.

The MDA is a professional membership organization that represents 90 percent of Maine dentists and works to provide quality oral healthcare for all Maine residents. To learn more, visit their website at http://www.medental.org/.
