Atlanta, GA. (PRWEB) September 10, 2008 -- Board Certified Radiation Oncologist Dr. Chad Levitt, has joined the North Georgia Radiation Oncology Center, Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia's Cumming facility located on Haw Creek Parkway. No stranger to the Forsyth County area having lived most of his life in Flowery Branch, Dr. Levitt and his wife Alisha have moved back 'home.'
Prior to joining RCOG, Dr. Levitt was in private practice in Denver, Colorado, and then at a private practice cancer center in Melbourne, Florida.
Dr. Levitt received his doctorate of medicine from the Emory University School of Medicine, completed an internship in internal medicine at Exempla St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, had IMRT training at the Emory School of Medicine and completed his residency in radiation oncology also at Emory.
Dr. Levitt is a member of a number of medical professional organizations and has chaired the Technologic Advisory Committee at RMCC. He has special interests in utilizing technology to improve patient education as well as treatment precision.
Dr. Levitt is proficient in SBRT/IGRT, Linac-based stereotactic radiosurgery, Cyberknife radiosurgery, CT/Flouro based and PET-CT based treatment planning, and has extensive brachytherapy experience in a number of areas. He specializes in head & neck, breast, GI, GYN, lung, prostate and other cancers.
