Dr. Carol Moreno, DDS of Gentle Family Dentists Introduces Mini Dental Implants at West Liberty, IA Dental Practice
Date:7/18/2013

West Liberty, IA (PRWEB) July 18, 2013

Dr. Carol Moreno, West Liberty, IA cosmetic dentist at Gentle Family Dentists recently introduced mini dental implants (MDIs) to the many dental services in cosmetic dentistry at her practice. Mini dental implants, sometimes referred to as small diameter implants or SDIs, are the best alternative for patients seeking an affordable and a much less invasive procedure to obtain a beautiful, permanent smile. Mini dental implants are similar to conventional dental implants, but have a smaller size and require much less time to complete.

Before mini dental implants, patients had to rely on fixed bridges, which can cost significantly more and require a more intrusive procedure. There are many benefits associated with mini dental implants including better esthetics, reduction of bone resorption, denture retention, and preservation of the original structure of the tooth.

“Our patients’ satisfaction is our first priority,” said Dr. Carol Moreno of Gentle Family Dentists. “And now that we can provide them with yet another innovative, successful, and affordable option, a confident smile is a new possibility for them.”

Mini dental implants are generally half the price of dental implants. Patients with adequate bone mass are the best candidates for mini dental implants and conventional implants alike, and a simple X-ray and/or CT scan can determine which procedure is necessary. Because the procedure is less intrusive than typical implants, subsequently the healing time between implanting the titanium studs and finishing the new teeth is much less and the end result is the same as conventional implants.

Dr. Carol Moreno and the associates at Gentle Family Dentists treat all ages. In addition to the mini dental implants process, Dr. Moreno is trained to provide Restore implants at her West Liberty, IA practice. She and the associates at her practice provide a full range of dental procedures from comfortable root canals and extractions to Invisalign (an alternative to metal braces) and one-visit porcelain crowns, using anxiolysis.

A graduate of the University Of Iowa College Of Dentistry, Dr. Carol Moreno continued her education at the Academy of General Dentistry where she received a mastership. She then went on to receive a master at the Academy of General Dentistry. In 1997 she was the president of the Iowa Academy of General Dentistry Board. Currently, Dr. Moreno is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Society of Dentistry for Children, among several others, and completes at least four times the required amount of continuing education every year.
