Dr. Benjamin C. Stong is the first facial plastic surgeon to display the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) Diplomate Board Certification logo, which was just trademarked, patented, and released for use by its diplomates in their display information. The logo represents board certification and centers of excellence in facial plastic surgery. It also symbolizes the highest level of specialization, education, and certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is the first distinguishing logo to define which surgeons performing facial plastic surgery procedures are truly board certified in facial plastic surgery.

The ABFPRS certifies its diplomates in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck. Only diplomates certified by the ABFPRS are board certified in the specialty of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. Diplomates are most commonly double board certified in Otolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
