Dr. Benjamin Raab of Naperville, IL Selects Artefill to Meet Growing Patient Demand for a Longer Lasting Dermal Filler
Date:7/10/2009

NAPERVILLE, Ill., July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Benjamin J. Raab, M.D., head of Dermatology & Cosmetic Skin Surgery, has selected Artefill, the first and only FDA-approved microsphere-enhanced collagen filler for the correction of smile lines, to treat patients who are looking for a longer lasting dermal filler. Dr. Raab has treated over 150 patients with Artefill the past several years due to its proven success and effectiveness for the correction of wrinkles.

"Artefill is a paradigm shift in our thinking from temporary to long lasting fillers for wrinkle correction," said Benjamin J. Raab, M.D. "This breakthrough product has proven to be more effective than any other filler product to address a patient's desire for long lasting, natural feeling wrinkle correction."

This simple, in-office procedure takes approximately fifteen minutes to complete. A patient is injected with Artefill similar to other dermal fillers with the key difference being its lasting effect. The unique microspheres in Artefill are not absorbed by the body and therefore provide a scaffold for the patient's own collagen stimulation to generate long lasting natural feeling results. This is different from temporary dermal fillers that are made of different kinds of natural or synthetic materials that are completely absorbed by the body over time and require repeat injections to maintain wrinkle correction. A skin test is required prior to treatment or approximately four (4) weeks ahead of time, to ensure a patient is not allergic to the collagen or anesthetic in Artefill.

Artefill is only offered by a select group of physicians in Illinois and is not available at all physician offices. Dr. Raab is one of the company trained and select few company sponsored physicians who has the skills and experience needed to administer the product.

A female patient of Dr. Raab's said, "What a natural transformation! It was a subtle
