COMMACK, N.Y., April 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- It is with great privilege that Avery Biomedical Devices, Inc. (ABD) announces the appointment of Abbott Krieger, M.D., F.A.C.S. as Chief Clinical Liaison.

As a visiting professor, Dr. Krieger has traveled extensively around the world attending grand rounds and assisting other physicians in the development of their local diaphragm pacing programs.

Dr. Krieger most recently served as Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the USC Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He is currently in private practice in Beverly Hills, CA. As Chief Clinical Liaison, Dr. Krieger will lecture about the indications and latest advances in diaphragm pacing, and be available for clinical discussions regarding potential candidates for the breathing pacemaker.

Linda Towler, CEO, states, "We are honored to have Dr. Krieger join our team. His experience and expertise will be an invaluable addition to the future growth of ABD."
