Donation of $15,000 and Hard Work Allows a Family in Need to Move into New Home
Date:9/27/2007

ur community and make a difference," commented Chad Wallard, Manager of Turner's Self-Perform Group.

Habitat funds covered additional costs associated with the construction. A typical home built through Habitat for Humanity takes about $75,000 to build. The family that will reside in the home was chosen through the Habitat application process.

"We look forward to continuing our support for Habitat for Humanity," Binson said. "Our team now looks forward to the summer months when they can roll up their sleeves and get to work on a new house. There's something about the look on a person's face when, after months of hard work, they step through the door of their brand new home -- there's nothing like it. Creating a sense of pride and dignity in people -- that's what we're all about."

Since 1953, Binson's has provided innovative home health programs and durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, incontinence products, oxygen and other therapy services. Binson's pioneered home infusion treatments and respiratory health programs in the state of Michigan that have saved consumers and government payers millions of health care dollars.

Binson's has grown from a community-based retail pharmacy to one of the largest, independent providers of home health care products and services in the United States. More than 1,500 customers visit Binson's retail facilities and joint-venture locations every day. An additional 20,000 customers a month receive health care supplies delivered to their home through the Binson's Service Plus program.

Northwood Incorporated is a unique third-party administration company established by Binson's. With a nationwide network of more than 4,200 home health and durable medical equipment providers, Northwood leverages the size of its network to provide savings for sponsors of large health care programs, saving large employers and government buyers, among others, millions of health care dollars.
