Doctor Finders Announces what it Takes to Break a World Record

Doctor Finders announces what it takes to break a world record.

(Vocus) June 4, 2010 -- Doctor Finders’ recent sponsorship of athlete Dan McGehee led them to look at the qualities it takes to break a world record. “Dan McGehee is a perfect example of someone who is motivated and determined but also practical,” says Clint Ethington of Doctor Finders. “McGehee has a family, an optometrist business and is still able to set aside time to train and compete in races. We believe it is that balance that makes an outstanding athlete.”

McGehee currently holds the UMCA 100-road record of 3:56:03 and will be attempting to break the world record for 100-mile track in June. A few of his recent records include 2008 1st Place Furnace Creek 508 Mile (2 man open with Justin "Panda" Peschka), 2008 1st Place Cochise County Cycling Classic 252 Mile, 2007 1st Place Cochise County Cycling Classic 252 Mile, 2005 1st Place Cochise County Cycling Classic 252 Mile.

Athletes push themselves to go further and harder than ordinary people and as such must take extra care of their bodies and their nutrition. Doctor Finders knows what it takes to be a champion:

  • Determination
  • Motivation
  • Balance between goals and personal relationships
  • Eating healthy for sports-driven records
  • Replenishing the body
  • Balancing stretching with exercise
  • Mind over matter
  • Believing in oneself

“You can push your body to its limits,” says Ethington, “but if you don’t refuel and replenish nutrients, your body will eventually quit on you. Consulting a nutritionist and physician will ensure a long athletic career.”

Doctor Finders is an innovative on-line tool that allows the general public to find the right doctor for their needs, identifying doctors by geographic area, specialties, procedures, and more.
