Discount Medical Supplies Forges New Connections with Caregivers Nationwide During This Year’s Fearless Caregiver Conference
Date:8/8/2013

(PRWEB) August 08, 2013

Discount Medical Supplies, a leading medical online superstore, is making inroads with the nation’s caregivers. On July 25, 2013, the founders of Discount Medical Supplies attended the 2013 Boca Raton Fearless Caregiver Conference hosted by Caregiver magazine and caregiver.com. During the event, more than 50,000 family and professional caregivers in 27 states learned how to be Fearless Caregiver advocates for their loved ones, clients and themselves. This was the 126th nationwide conference held by the publication since 1998.

The expert “Question and Answer” panel at the Boca Raton Fearless Caregiver Conference consisted of Dr. Jon Segal, CEO of DiscountMedicalSupplies.com; Veronica A. Castro, LCSW, C-ASWCM, Veterans Administration Caregiver Support Coordinator; Kim Clawson, Elder Helpline Director at the Area Agency on Aging, Palm Beach/Treasure Coast; Jeannie Lavoie, RN at Humana and Lola Rain, Senior Living Manager at GE-Intel Care Innovations. More than 300 caregivers in attendance were able to ask direct questions of these caregiving thought-leaders, and spend the day learning about the latest techniques, products, services and innovations they need in their role as family caregivers.

Gary Barg, the conference host as well as Editor-In-Chief of Today’s Caregiver magazine and Caregiver.com, explains, “I was extremely proud to share the day with such an outstanding panel of experts. Dr. Jon Segal exemplified the qualities of what it takes to serve family caregivers.” Barg went on to say, “Dr. Segal shared his expertise, his personal story, and more than that, his heart with the caregivers in attendance and for that I am truly grateful.”
