SAN DIEGO, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC), the leading advocate of integrated disability management strategies in all absence and disability related employer programs, today announced that Mercer is a Platinum Sponsor of the growing association. Michael Klachefsky, Mercer principal and senior consultant for absence management, joined DMEC's Executive Advisory Board effective October 1, 2007.

"The addition of Mercer to the complement of the DMEC Executive Advisory Board and as a National platinum sponsor is one of the highlights of the 2007 year," said Marcia Carruthers, CEO of DMEC. "Mercer's reputation as one of the world's leading HR consultancies will add tremendous value in terms of the perspective and experience they bring to the table."

Mr. Klachefsky has been a member of Mercer's absence management consulting group for 12 years. He is currently responsible for developing Mercer's west- zone absence management practice and is also a member of Mercer's National Health & Productivity Management leadership team.
