Direct Selling Icon, Former Presidential Advisor Doug Wead Joins XanGo

LEHI, Utah, May 20 /PRNewswire/ --- XanGo, LLC, the mangosteen beverage category creator and market leader, announced today that direct selling icon, former presidential advisor, philanthropist and motivational speaker Doug Wead has joined XanGo as a full-time consultant. Wead brings to XanGo deep experience in direct selling, having been one of the top distributors for Amway for the past 30 years. He previously served as special assistant to the president in the George H.W. Bush White House.

"Doug has played a major role in our industry for more than three decades and throughout this time we as XanGo founders have greatly admired what he has accomplished," said XanGo Founder and Board Member Gordon Morton. Wead has nearly 35 years of experience as a corporate motivational speaker, addressing business audiences around the world. In addition to his millions of motivational tapes and CDs in circulation, he is also the author of 27 books, including New York Times best-selling titles All the President's Children and The Raising of a President. As of today, the Amway Wikipedia site names only two of its own distributors, Doug Wead being one of them.
