LEHI, Utah, May 20 /PRNewswire/ --- XanGo, LLC, the mangosteen beverage category creator and market leader, announced today that direct selling icon, former presidential advisor, philanthropist and motivational speaker Doug Wead has joined XanGo as a full-time consultant. Wead brings to XanGo deep experience in direct selling, having been one of the top distributors for Amway for the past 30 years. He previously served as special assistant to the president in the George H.W. Bush White House.

"Doug has played a major role in our industry for more than three decades and throughout this time we as XanGo founders have greatly admired what he has accomplished," said XanGo Founder and Board Member Gordon Morton. "We are excited at what his full-time commitment to XanGo will mean to our distributors. Wead said he joined XanGo because of its founders' strategic vision and their "commitment to make success obtainable to the average man and woman." Wead has posted additional thoughts at

Robert S. Conlee, XanGo's Chief Executive Officer, said that "Doug's passion for the direct sales industry and his past track record as one of the industry's most successful distributors, combined with his experience as an international motivational speaker, make him an extraordinary leader and coach." Conlee noted that in his new role, Wead will serve as a consultant on distributor relations initiatives, speak at distributor meetings and serve as an elite coach for top XanGo distributors.
