Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy Receives Regional Good Neighbor Pharmacy Of The Year Award
Date:7/27/2009

SWARTZ CREEK, Mich., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy announced that their Flint location has received the "Regional Good Neighbor Pharmacy Of The Year" award from the Good Neighbor Pharmacy network.

Diplomat Flint is recognized for their excellence in patient care: specifically for the development and use of their electronic Navigator (eNAV(TM)) patient care system. Additionally, Diplomat is recognized for their unique dialysis prescription delivery system, and for their commitment to patient needs related directly to their Custom Prescription Compounding Lab.

"On behalf of the entire team that supports and works at our Flint location, it is an honor to accept this award from AmerisourceBergen," stated Stephen Lund, Diplomat's Vice President of Purchasing & Finance. "The level of care, compassion and empathy that our Diplomat Flint employees exhibit on a daily basis made this award possible. Thank you Diplomat Flint."

Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy was chosen from AmerisourceBergen's 874 North Region Good Neighbor Pharmacy's as the Good Neighbor Pharmacy "Pharmacy of the Year Award" recipient for 2009. "Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy has proven they are committed to innovative patient care services and they exemplify what local independent Good Neighbor Pharmacies provide for their communities," said Andy Clarey, Director of Good Neighbor Pharmacy for AmerisourceBergen.

Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy was nominated for this award by their AmerisourceBergen Account Manager Cathy Humphrey.

Each year, the Regional Pharmacy of the Year award is given to a pharmacy that represents the best that Good Neighbor Pharmacy has to offer, supports the Diabetes Shoppe and is a model for other stores. The pharmacy must also exhibit excellence in their customer support program and present innovation in the retail practice setting.<
