Dictation, Transcription Workflow and Document Management Platform Aids Physicians In Searching For Swine Flu Symptoms
Date:5/5/2009

Scribe's MD Platform makes it easy for healthcare professionals to perform full "Google" like searches on their existing patient database

Lake Forest, IL (PRWEB) May 5, 2009 -- Scribe Healthcare Technologies, Inc. (http://www.scribe.com), announced that its MD Platform makes it easy for healthcare providers to conduct full "Google" like searches for patients with H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu) symptoms. Customers of Scribe and customers of transcription companies that use Scribe receive a perpetual Clinical Information archive containing all of their transcribed patient records. Scribe's advanced search features make it easy for clinicians to search for patients displaying combination of symptoms including "fever", "sore throat" etc.

While documents are displayed in Microsoft Word, they are actually saved in a relational Clinical Information database. This system makes it possible to conduct searches in ways that would not be possible if the documents were saved as MS Word files or saved in the paper chart.

"While many of our customers have made the investment in the electronic medical record, they use Scribe as the transcription/data input method and a Clinical Information Repository. I find it interesting that they often comment on the value of our platform to make it easy to conduct searches, understand their patient populations and perform other critical care data analysis in ways that can't easily perform in other systems." said John Weiss, Vice President of Scribe Healthcare Technologies, Inc. "It's exciting to see our company aid in the swift delivery of life saving treatment".
