Despite U.S. economy, more Americans seeking cosmetic surgery overseas

Economic downturn and possible recession, the focal point of the presidential campaign, has caused many anxious Americans to put major purchases on hold. Purchases of luxury items - a new car, the family vacation and even some elective procedures, like cosmetic surgery - have all but been eliminated amidst the financial crisis. But savvy consumers aren't waiting for an economic upturn; with a favorable exchange rate in Colombia, they're seeking alternatives overseas.
